While at BkSD, Curet Performance Project will be investigating systems and the moving body. Using Afro-Latin rhythmic influence, and contemporary forms as movement vocabulary. Simultaneously the work will draw from elements of Bauhaus architecture for costume and set design. Seeking inspiration in turmoil, others stories and hope. The story of Sistema, is the abstract story of questions gone unanswered. What do systems mean for the moving body?
Sistema is a work that investigates the abstract notions of bodies within systems. Using movement to engage the audience, Sistema seeks to tell the story of “our” and “home” through influence of Afro-Latin rhythms, contemporary forms and Bauhaus’s linear and clean architecture. Sistema is an evening length journey into the unanswered question. How do systems affect the moving body?
