An event every week that begins at 6:00pm on Monday, repeating until Mon, June 4, 2018
Monday night contact jams at BKSD will begin with 45 minutes of guided practice to warm up physical perception and creative awareness, develop basic techniques exploring safe weight sharing and communication, and finally propose scores to open up into a 2 hour contact jam. These sessions are hosted by artist in residence Ilona Bito, and will be co-facilitated with special guest teachers: Carly Czach, Sarah Gottlieb, Elise Knudson, Lucymeg Mahler, and Molly Schaffner. As an opportunity for both new and experienced contact practitioners to share research, we will end with a closing circle to reflect on questions proposed by co-teachers.
Guest Teacher Schedule:
Lucymeg Mahler 3/5, 5/28 | Carly Czach 3/12, 3/19, 4/23, 5/7 |
Sarah Gottlieb 3/26, 4/2, 4/9, 4/16
Elise Knudson 4/30, 5/14, 5/21 | Molly Schaffner 6/4
