An immersive collaboration between movement, sound, and light, dragonslayer is a journey that follows an ancient tale while chasing new stories.

Created by AnA Collaborations and Maciej Lewandowski

Performed by Douglas Burkhardt, Nicholas Grubbs,Madeline Irmen, Alex Jenkins, Maciej Lewandowski, Audrey Rachelle, Ellie Van Bever, and Ha Vo.

The mind of a dragon works two ways, that is: backwards and forwards. This is doubly true of the Wawel Dragon, a beast that was already old in AD 1221, a year it would behoove you to run an eye across at least a couple times.

MACIEJ LEWANDOWSKI  is a musician currently living in New York, producing music for concert, video, dance, etc. His work focuses on the capacity for sound to affect the environment/space it is being produced in.

Some of his projects have been presented at LaGuardia Performing Arts Center, Brooklyn Studios for Dance, NURTUREart, 67 Ludlow, Outpost Artist Resources, Panoply Performance Lab. In a performing or design capacity, he has been involved in productions shown at NYU Skirball, Abrons Arts Center, National Sawdust, Gelsey Kirkland Academy, Christ Church Philadelphia, JACK, + more. When not making things, Maciej works for International Contemporary Ensemble and Not Art Records.

AUDREY RACHELLE and ALEX JENKINS co-founded AnA Collaborations upon discovering their shared passion for honest, risk-taking creation and performance. Since then, AnA has generated a variety of works through collaborations with artists from numerous fields, inspiring conversation across art disciplines and connecting to diverse audiences.

AnA works have been presented by The CURRENT SESSIONS, Dixon Place, The Bunker NYC, NARS Foundation, HappyLucky no.1, C’mon Everybody, Mercury Lounge, Wild Project, Brooklyn Bowl, Gibney Dance, and various film festivals across the U.S.
